Abstract

Description

Agar is a biodegradable and compatible material with remarkable optical and mechanical properties, making it suitable for the fabrication of special optical fibers and waveguides. This submission compiles data regarding the characterization of agar-made waveguides and their applications in physical and chemical sensing via fiber specklegram analysis. This dataset contains results achieved by the FAPESP Regular Grant "Development of agar-based biodegradable optical fibers for sensing" (2023/09181-0).
